No Closet Big Enough for Colin Powell-Democrat

Describing Colin Powell as a Republican is akin to describing Perez Hilton http://www.icelebz.com/celebs/perez_hilton/photo8.html as straight. No matter how often the canard is repeated in the Obamedia, it remains absurd. The self-described “C” student from City College of New York went on to become “the reluctant warrior” http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2001/sep/30/usa.afghanistan advising several Presidential administrations on how to best avoid military intervention while pleading for international coalitions and U.N. approval.
Pro-choice, pro-gun control and an ardent lobbyist against the use of military tribunals http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_Powell there is scarcely an issue upon which Colin Powell even mildly resembles a moderate Democrat, much less a Republican. His efforts to scuttle John Bolton’s appointment as U.N. Ambassador http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=YmZlZjIyY2JmYWZmMTJiNzI0N2I0ZjE4ZThkNDM4MzU= and his collaboration with Richard Armitage http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110008872 to allow Scooter Libby to twist in the wind and ultimately be wrongly convicted in Plamegate demonstrate the likelihood that the General from Affirmative Action was merely a stealth Democrat undermining the Republican administrations in which he served. Powell’s ardent support for Barack Obama’s Presidential bid surprised no one even mildly familiar with his penchant for liberal causes.
The lick-spittle media’s attempt to foist General Reluctant upon the American public as arbiter of the Republican party’s positions and direction is as transparent as the emperor’s new clothes http://deoxy.org/emperors.htm. It’s time to come out of the closet, Colin.
